Job hunting on the go!

Job hunting on the go!
Posted by on April 8, 2013
While getting ready for work today, I checked my personal email and found a ton of junk mail. What’s worse is that it’ sall junk mail I subscribed to during various moments of weakness while shopping. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone sent something useful like job postings to our inbox instead of body cream promotions?
Well, do I have a treat for you! (Did that sound a little too much like a late-night infomercial?)
Seriously! I came across this new feature on Working in Canada called Job Alerts. It does exactly what it sounds like. You type in your desired job title, desired location and email, and then you will receive alerts for relevant job postings up to twice a day as jobs become available! It also provides job market information about the kinds of jobs you’re looking for.
You will receive the emails directly in your inbox and can access a link to apply to the job right then and there.
This is a really cool feature whether you’re a student, a recent graduate, or simply looking for work. You can customize your search to include only jobs that are identified as available for students, or broaden your search to explore your various career options.
And for those of us who can never seem to put away our phones, you will be happy to know that the site is also mobile-friendly! Job searching on the go!
Good luck with your hunt!
